Jilly Edwards - Sense of Place

The Sense of Place exhibition is an installation of contemporary artworks. The exhibition is centred around the work of tapestry weaver Jilly Edward with an accompanying musical score by composer Nigel Morgan, which will be interspersed throughout High Cross House.
Jilly Edwards is an artist. Her chosen medium is tapestry weave. Each artwork is a meticulously crafted response to place, colour and light. Journeys, and the process of journeying, are recurring themes in her work.
Nigel Morgan is a composer of over 90 concert works across all major genres. The accompanying musical score is in spirit a kind of ‘four seasons’ for solo guitar, constructed as a sonic installation for each of the rooms in High Cross House. The score references music that has strong associations with Dartington.
